Thermoforming Inserts

Inserts can be formed into a thermoformed part. Figure 1 shows a possible setup for putting an insert in the part. The insert is simply placed on a mold, probably on locating pins, and the sheet is formed around it. The insert is shaped so that the sheet will hug the insert.
