Promise Keepers

Pittsfield Otterbein United Methodist Church, Men's Group, Pittsfield, PA

Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper:

Honor Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and obedience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pursue vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that you need brothers to help you keep your promises.
Practice spiritual, moral, ethical, and sexual purity.
Build strong marriages and families through love, protection, and biblical values.
Support the mission of the church by honoring and praying for your pastor, and by actively giving your time and resources.
Reach beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of biblical unity.

Influence your world, being obedient to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20).

I attended the Promise Keepers 95 event at the Silverdome in Pontiac, MI on April 28-29, 1995 along with 20 men from my church.

I attended the Promise Keepers 96 event at Three Rivers stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on July 12-13, 1996 along with about 30 men from my church.

I attended the Promise Keepers 97 event along with my son, Eric, at Three Rivers stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on July 25-26, 1997. Twenty-eight men from my church attended.

I was at the Promise Keepers event "Stand in the Gap" along with my son, Eric, on the Mall in Washington D.C. on October 4, 1997. Our little church sent 50 men (and boys and teens) by bus to D.C. for this event.

My son, Eric and I attended the PK conference in Charlotte, N.C. on August 13-14, 1999.

This is AMY !! (Fall 1998, high school, Senior portraits)

In May 2003, at PSU graduation.

Amy graduated from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College with a bachelors degree
in psychology. She was involved in the psychology club, serving as secretary her senior year as well as the psychology lab
coordinator. She was a member of Psi Chi National Honor Society and was listed in the Who's Who Among American College Students. She participated in Excaliber indoor colorguard while attending college.
Johnson was involved in many research opportunities at Behrend including working as a research assistant at CORE (The Center for Organizational Research & Evaluation). She presented her research at national conferences in San Francisco, New Orleans, and Atlanta. Johnson also presented her research at
local conferences, winning cash? prizes for best presentations. She was the recipient for the Junior/Senior Excellence in Writing award for her thesis paper written about her senior project.
Amy will be attending SUNY at Buffalo in the Fall of 2003 to pursue her Master's in Library Science. She was awarded a tuition scholarship from the university.

May 2003, PSU commencement	August 2003, graduation at Navy OIS
Jill graduated from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technolgy. Jill accepted a commission with the U.S. Navy, went through OIS (Officer Indoctrination School) in Newport, R.I. during August 2003, and is teaching at the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power school in Charleston, S.C.
