Starting ANSYS-Workbench

Use the “ANSYS Product Launcher” from the Start Button in the Windows Toolbar

Product LAUNCHER Profile Setup:

·         Simulation Environment: ANSYS Workbench

o        License: ANSYS Academic Teaching DesignSpace
Other license has reduced options (ANSYS Academic Teaching Advanced)

o        Newer interface

Academic Model Limits: 256,000 nodes or elements

·         File Management Tab:

o        Less important when running WB

o        WHY ? _________________________________________

·        Finally, RUN ANSYS Workbench

Can start a new project (Empty Project) or open an existing project or Browse to find projects in other folders

 We set options for graphics display, default units, beta features, file (folder) mgmt
